Merry Christmas from Study Inn

*

December is upon us and Christmas is just around the corner! It’s an exciting time of year for students everywhere. Whether you are heading off home for the holidays or staying at your student accommodation, Study Inn wishes you a very merry Christmas!

Things to do over the Christmas period

Christmas holidays are a very exciting time of year, there are a lot of fun things to see and do. Many students will be heading home for the Christmas period, but for those who aren’t we have put together a list of fun things to do at your student accommodation.

Festive decorations

There’s no better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by decorating your student accommodation. There are a lot of things you can do to give your student room a festive touch; Get yourself a Christmas tree and decorate it with baubles and lights, put some tinsel around your room and perhaps even get some Christmas themed bedding.

Make sure your decorations adhere to the rules of your student accommodation provider – as a general rule we would recommend you avoid pinning anything to the walls, and get an artificial Christmas tree – pines from a real tree would be a nightmare to clean up & many providers may not allow them. Rules differ from one provider to another so be sure to check the regulations before decorating your student apartment.

Christmas Markets

Spend an afternoon exploring a collection of festivities at your local Christmas market. You’ll find tasty Christmas treats, festive decorations & more goodies, making your local Christmas market a great way to spend a winter afternoon.

Secret Santa

Secret Santa is a great game to play with friends over the Christmas period. Pick names out of a hat anonymously and then buy a gift for the person you picked out. When Christmas day comes around you all exchange gifts with each other! This game can be great fun and brings an exciting surprise to Christmas day.

Christmas dinner

The holidays aren’t complete without a tasty Christmas dinner. Whether you choose to stay in to cook for yourself and your friends or take off to a restaurant for a festive meal, don’t miss this one off your list!

If you decide to go out for a Christmas meal remember to take your budget into account, you don’t want to break the bank unnecessarily over the holidays!
